By accessing and using the Summer School content management system and blog (“the website”), you accept the practices described in the Privacy Statement, as well as the following privacy practices that are specific to immedia.

The personal information hereby provided by the client will be used and processed as is necessary to carry out actions and functions for the conclusion or performance of the agreement entered into between the parties as well as to inform the client of additional goods and/or services that could be of value to the client. The client acknowledges that he/she/it has a right to object to the processing of its personal information for marketing purposes and unless expressly stated otherwise hereby consents to its personal information being used by THE IMMEDIA ECOSYSTEM (PTY) LTD and IMMEDIA STUDIO (PTY) LTD for the above mentioned purposes.
1. Information stored by this website
A) User-provided information
To register your interest to attend the Summer School work exposure programme, you will be asked to complete a registration form. The registration form requests personal information that needs to be provided by yourself or, if you are under 18, by your guardian.
This information is requested so that we can:
- Get to know each individual before they arrive for your work exposure, to better plan for your arrival;
- Understand the kinds of people who derive benefit from our programme;
- Report to our stakeholders on the communities and groups for which we are creating impact;
- Hold ourselves accountable to the positive, equitable change that we would like to create in this industry.
All your information will be kept private and confidential, with the exception of the following fields (unless expressly requested that these remain private):
- Your first name
- Your last name
- Your Avatar
We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally-identifiable information.

B) Automatically-collected information
The website may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to: the type of device with which you are browsing the site, the IP address of your device, your operating system, the type of internet browser you use, and information about the way you use the site.
This allows us to keep creating a better experience for you.
C) Destruction of information
We keep your information indefinitely so that you can add your blog posts to your CV as a Portfolio of Evidence for the exciting things you’ve learnt and created at Summer School.

2. Security
In order for you to add content to the Summer School blog, access will be provided to you in the form of a username and password.
We store your passwords using a hashing algorigthm (bcrypt) specifically designed for this purpose. However, please be advised that even the best security measures cannot fully eliminate all risks. We cannot guarantee that only authorized persons will review your information. We are not responsible for third-party circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your personally-identifiable information by keeping your password confidential. It is also suggested that you change your password on a regular basis.
3. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.
4. Termination of Privacy Policy
If you disagree with any of the clauses within this Privacy Policy in full, we respectfully ask that you delete all your information within the application and uninstall the application.
